The severeness of the flood, unprecedented for more than 10 years, called for a real team effort, in which MÁV-REC staff also played a major role. In Vác on Friday, the railway colleagues from Vác and on Saturday, the colleagues from the waste management division volunteered to help. While on Friday we were responsible for filling and transporting sandbags, on Saturday we helped to monitor the protection line in Szentendre. The joint work and enormous effort paid off, we actively and effectively contributed to successful flood protection.
