  1. Suspension railway operator training

We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science for basic suspension railway operator training, and based on it we prepare the course participants for the official examination of the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute.
There is no special requirement for the job to be filled.

  1. Ski lift operator training

We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science for basic ski lift operator training, and based on it we prepare the course participants for the official examination of the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute.
There is no special requirement for the job to be filled.

  1. Coupler, shoeman, line coupler and freight conductor valid for national rail networks, Debrecen

As specified in Annex 3 to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development, the conditions for participation in the basic coupler, shoeman, line coupler and freight conductor training valid for national rail networks are as follows: valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry for the coupler or shoeman or line coupler or freight conductor position under the job group in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 18 years of age.
We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science.

  1. Line shunting supervisor

As specified in Annex 3 to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development, the conditions for participation in the basic line shunting supervisor training valid for national rail networks are as follows: valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry for the line shunting supervisor position under the job group in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009, minimum 18 years of age and 320 hours of verified coupler experience.
We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science.

  1. Train administrator and receiver

As specified in Annex 3 to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development, the conditions for participation in the basic train administrator and receiver training are as follows: valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry for the train administrator and receiver position under the job group in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 18 years of age.
We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science.

  1. Car knocker

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry (for the railway car knocker position under job group I or II) in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 18 years of age on the examination date.
We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science.

  1. Railway practical vocational instructor

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): Completed secondary education is required on national and private rail networks. A vizsga időpontjáig betöltött 18. életév, felsőfokú szakmai (műszaki), vagy képesítő vizsga, 5 év szakmai gyakorlat. Minimum 18 years of age on the examination date, post-secondary vocational (technical) or qualification examination, 5 years of vocational experience.
In the case of train driver training, train driver qualification is required for the practice in the knowledge of models and driving practice, line and stations modules.
The training is based on a central training programme issued by the Railway Examination Centre

  1. Railway theoretical vocational instructor

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): Completed state post-secondary education is required on national rail networks and completed secondary education on private rail networks. Post-secondary vocational (technical) or qualification examination, 5 years of vocational experience.
In the case of train driver training, train driver qualification is required for the practice in the knowledge of models and driving practice, line and stations modules.
The training is based on a central training programme issued by the Railway Examination Centre.

  1. Coupler on private railway rail networks

Valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry for the coupler or shoeman or line coupler or freight conductor position under job group I or II in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 18 years of age.
We have a Training Programme approved by the Railway Examination Centre of the Institute for Transport Science.

  1. Shunting supervisor on private rail networks

valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry for the shunting supervisor position under job group I or II in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009, minimum 18 years of age and 320 hours of verified coupler experience.

  1. Railway operations manager

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry (for the railway operations manager position under job group I or II) in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 18 years of age on the examination date.
Our basic railway operations manager training/railway operations manager course has two parts:

- general theory of railway traffic control,

- railway operations manager skills.

The training is based on a central training programme issued by the Railway Examination Centre.

  1. Train driver performing passenger and freight transport and shunting on national rail networks

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): completed secondary education, valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry (for the train driver position in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009) and minimum 20 years of age on the examination date.

The training is modular. The modules end with a basic examination. The individual modules are built on each other. Without completing each, the basic training may not be continued.

  1. General vocational skills module valid for national rail lines: 240 hours (200 hours of theory and 40 hours of practice)
  2. Infrastructure module: 300 hours (250 hours of theory and 50 hours of practice)
  3. Electric locomotive category (160 hours of theory and 40 hours of practice)
  4. Diesel locomotive category (160 hours of theory and 40 hours of practice)
  5. Knowledge of models (10 hours of theory, 10 hours of practice in the knowledge of rolling stock and 24 hours of driving practice per model)
  1. Driver on private rail networks in diesel train driver and road-rail vehicle category

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry (for the railway driver position under job group I or II) in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 20 years of age on the examination date.
The training is modular. The modules end with a basic examination. The individual modules are built on each other. Without completing each, the basic training may not be continued.

  1. General vocational skills module for regional, suburban, local, urban or private rail networks, industrial tracks and special rail-guided networks: 61 hours.
  2. Infrastructure module: 80 hours

 

  1. Category 1: Road-rail vehicle:
  • 14 hours of basic road-rail vehicle driver training;
  • 15 hours of knowledge of models (10 hours of theory and 5 hours of practice);
  • 50 hours of driving practice followed by a basic examination.
  1. Category 2: Diesel train driver
  • 200 hours of diesel train driver (160 hours of theory and 40 hours of practice);
  • 40 hours of knowledge of models (30 hours of theory and 10 hours of practice);
  • 50 hours of driving practice followed by a basic examination.  
  1. Steam locomotive category training

Conditions for participation in the course (pursuant to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development): valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry (for the railway driver position under job group I or II) in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009, minimum 20 years of age on the examination date and a completed national or private, regional general vocational skills module.

  1. Simplified traffic examination (for the telecommunications, power, interlocking equipment and tracks service branches)

As specified in Annex 3 to Decree No 19/2011 of 10 May 2011 of the Minister for National Development, the conditions for participation in the basic simplified traffic (telecommunications, power, interlocking equipment and tracks service branches) training are as follows: specialised qualification corresponding to the relevant field, valid medical aptitude decision for the railway industry (for the position according to job group I or II) in accordance with Government Decree No 203/2009 of 18 September 2009 and minimum 18 years of age.

Periodic railway operations manager training and further training

Further training takes 3 days.

The periodic training precribed in Annex 2 to Decree No 19/2011 of the Minister for National Development is held on the first two days, while further operations manager training on the third day.

On the third day, after further training, the trainees can take a difference examination, and those required to take a periodic examination also have to do so. The basic examination is valid for 3 years, which is extended by a successful periodic examination for another 3 years.
